Meet Dr. Carol McKown
Dr. Carol McKown loves kids and can’t wait to meet yours! As a respected Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (APBD), she brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her practice. Dr. Carol has held prestigious titles, such as president of the Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Indiana University Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association. Her active participation extends to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American (ADA) and Indiana (IDA) Dental Associations. Moreover, her prior involvement with the St. Vincent Craniofacial Anomalies team underscores her dedication to treating children with cleft lip, palate, and other craniofacial conditions.
After a previous tenure at Children’s Dental Care two decades ago, Dr. Carol has joyfully rejoined the team, committing her vibrant personality and empathetic care to our community every Tuesday. When asked to return, she was so excited because she “loves the people of this community.” Known for her boisterous laughter and singing lullabies to little patients, she adds a touch of warmth to appointments.
When she’s not providing excellent dental care, Dr. Carol enjoys life with her family, including her partner Rex, her three adult children—Katie, Annie, and David—and her beloved grandchildren. Her interests outside of work include traveling, ballroom dancing, and pursuing new languages.
Meet Dr. Erica Bayoneto
Dr. Erica Bayoneto is a distinguished graduate of Michigan State University. She furthered her dental education by obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan.
With a deep commitment to pediatric dentistry, Dr. Bayoneto sharpened her expertise during her residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and ascended to the role of Chief Resident. She is board-certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (APBD). Dr Erica has dedicated her practice to the art of children’s oral health. She maintains her certification in CPR and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support—a testament to her dedication to the well-being of her young patients. As a professional member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Indiana Dental Association (IDA), and the Ohio Dental Association (ODA), her contributions to pediatric dentistry are profound and essential to the communities in Indiana and Ohio, where she is licensed to practice.
